October 26, 2010

October 26, 2010

Registration for Spring 2010 at High Point University is nearly upon us.  Over the next week many of you will be meeting with your academic advisors to chart out your spring semester plans.  As you do so I encourage you to consider one of the following courses being offered thru the Department of Religion and Philosophy:

  • REL 1008 Introduction to Buddhism  (MWF 9:15 - 10:20am)
  • REL 1008 Introduction to Buddhism  (MWF 10:30 - 11:35am)
  • REL 3033 Contemporary Buddhist Developments  (MWF 2:40 - 3:45pm)
Thru these courses we will be examining the development of Buddhism in India, the rise of Buddhism in China, Tibet and Japan, as well exploring the intersection of American Buddhism and modernity.  Hope to see you in class!  (Plus you can get a jump start on your preparation for our trip to India in Spring of 2012!)
